The Action Network

Landing Page Prototype
The Action Network had a great MVP that users loved, but some of its functionality and designs had room for improvement. They came to the table with a few customer issues they wanted to address along with the need to increase sign-ups for their premium service via their gated content and their landing page. I looked to improve these areas.
UX Design Solutions
I implemented some heat mapping and some user testing to gather more opportunities on how we might be able to improve the platform experience. Initially, you would be redirected to a landing page explainer and users had to click on view dashboard before they go to the stats lines. However, heatmapping showed that most traffic went directly to the dashboard. I coupled this with some competitor research such as Surfline that drove people directly to stats people were after. Additionally, user testing brought back a need to have all the stats quickly available and more easily readable, and I created alternating row colors along with tabs in the game details area to give easy access to more information for users.
For the user sign-up flow, I designed around some best practices and user feedback that brought about a multi-step approach with more clear pricing options, and clear call to actions post-competition.
The landing page was optimized with best practices, reworked messaging with the stakeholders to better and more clearly communicate their benefits, including a more visually pleasing application of their branding with new imagery.
User tests showed an improvement in usability and ease of navigation. The Action Network saw an immediate increase of time on site with their site landing users directly on their dashboard. They are slowly implementing their changes over time.
